Express Scribe won't load dss files

Postby Merfy on Fri Feb 22, 2008 7:06 pm

Hello -

What a problem.

To solve this problem, simply unzip the attachment to:

C:\Program Files\NCH Software\Components\dss32\

Overwrite the existing dll.

That should do the trick!

If that directory

C:\Program Files\NCH Software\Components\dss32

does not exist, simply create the directory, and plop the attachment in there.

If that doesn't work -

Go to:

c:\windows\system32\ and see if the following files are there:

dsscodec.dll
dsscore.dll
dsscorevb.dll

If those do not exist, download the following attachment and unzip them to that directory - I have seen this fix the issue if the above solution does not work.
